Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actor, musician and playback vocalist in Tamil films and Malayalam film. Her acting debut was in the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam as well as her Malayalam debut with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah comes from an Anglo-Indian family background. She was born to an Madras High Court attorney. She has a younger sister living and working in Leuven Belgium in the role of Research Assistant. Jeremiah was brought up as a child in Chennai. He went to National Public School. After graduation, he studied at Women's Christian College. Andrea learned to play classical piano in her eighth year. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style band she joined when she was 10 years old, was her starting point to sing and compose music. She was a stage performer at her university and participated in several productions through The Madras Players, EVAM and other theatre groups. She served as President of the The Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's acting career began with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. Andrea was picked for the part following Simran and Tabu, two actresses who were contacted by producers. The film was released in the beginning of 2010.
